All applicants are invited to the high school for a personal interview scheduled by the Admissions office once your application is received. You will be called to arrange a mutually agreeable time. The objective of the interview is to establish a comfortable connection between the applicant and the Yeshivah and to learn more about the student’s education, experiences and interests.
Visits generally are arranged for students who have submitted an application for admission. The admissions office coordinates these visits with the applicant’s and the Yeshivah’s schedules. Sitting in on select classes and speaking with current students also can be part of a school visit.
Rabbi Besser, Dean of Students and Ms. Hidary, Assistant Principal, other members of the administration and representative students, informally meet with parents and prospective students from various neighborhoods. Admissions notification is mid February on the date established by the Jewish Education Project (BJE). Registration appointments for the incoming students are scheduled after that date by the Admissions office.
Applications from students who want to transfer into Yeshivah of Flatbush are accepted on a rolling basis. All students considering transfer should contact the Admissions office and complete an application for admissions.
For over 80 years, our Tuition Assistance program has made it possible for scores of students to attend our Yeshivah. Members of our Tuition Assistance Committee will discretely address the individual circumstances of each participating family and work with the family to achieve affordability.
